On a whole this service went fine. I felt like I was doing to much though. I was trying to play with my electric instead of acoustic (I normally play acoustic) and then my team was needing a lot of coaching so that was drawing my focus away from leading. It was a challenge this Sunday for me.

ReplyDeleteThanks for jumping in ... that is a LOT of music, how long do you typically have devoted to the musical/singing portion of the worship service?
I LOVE how you are transparent there about doing too much, leading, coaching, and the trials. That is why these were originally called worship "confessionals"!

Thanks for the comments. This Sunday I am not leading but I am playing for the leader. I have a strange feeling that my leader has overloaded themselves as they have not done a thorough job of preparing thus far. Just as back up I am preparing to take on more of a leader role this time. I have also cut down the amount of songs we're doing this Sunday as well.
